Srinagar, Feb 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a nationwide campaign to gather suggestions for shaping India into a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), with initiatives spanning across the country.
Tarun Chugh, BJP national General Secretary and In-charge of J&K Affairs, announced the initiative, emphasizing the party’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for national development.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu, Chugh highlighted the significance of the drive, which aims to collect suggestions from citizens across 370 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, covering 285 blocks.
“BJP’s mission is to receive approximately one crore suggestions from all corners of the country by March 15,” stated Chugh, underlining the party’s determination to achieve milestones under PM Modi’s leadership.
To facilitate participation, individuals can register their suggestions by giving a missed call to 9090902024. They will receive a link to submit their suggestions via writing or voice message, with options also available through the NaMo app.
Chugh emphasized the comprehensive approach of the initiative, which includes video raths traveling to over 4,000 Assembly constituencies, placing suggestion boxes at 10,000 locations, engaging with opinion leaders, and conducting door-to-door outreach by party cadres.
Highlighting the significance of citizen input, Chugh noted that the suggestions will be directly reviewed by Prime Minister Modi to shape the roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat’ from 2024 to 2029.
In a related development, a manifesto committee has been formed for Jammu and Kashmir, led by Sunil Sethi and comprising prominent figures from the region.
The campaign underscores BJP’s commitment to incorporating citizen perspectives in national development planning, as India advances towards realizing the aspirations of ‘Viksit Bharat’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Vishwamitra Bharat’ under PM Modi’s leadership.
