Srinagar, Sept 25: The district administration of Srinagar Wednesday termed the claims of disallowing motor-bound voters to enter polling booth as “false and devoid of merits.”

“As verified by the concerned magistrate, independent candidate Sheikh Imran was found using 5 vehicles with campaign posters while traveling from Brain Phollo to Polling Booth No. 33 (Middle School). The posters were removed, and the candidate was apprised about the MCC violation,” the administration said in an official communique.

The polling is proceeding smoothly and fairly across all stations in the constituency, with complete CCTV coverage, the communique added.
