Training prog begins at Police Academy

Udhampur, Feb 5: A five day training programme for investigators on the crucial subject of “Safety of Women” began at the S K Police Academy in Udhampur, a press release said.

The course has attracted participation from (22) police officers hailing from various regions across Jammu and Kashmir. The inauguration of the programme was undertaken by Rakesh Sambyal, Chief Prosecuting officer of SKPA Udhampur. Sambyal extended a warm welcome to all the course participants on behalf of the Academy’s Director.

   

Emphasising the significance of the training, he urged the officers to enhance their professional competence as investigators, specifically focusing on offenses against women and children, including the ever-evolving realm of Cyber Crime. The primary objective is to ensure that the cases they handle lead to successful convictions.

To achieve this goal, the course is thoughtfully designed to encompass investigation skills and impart the latest knowledge of provisions of law, such as POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, and others of relevance. Eminent speakers from academia and renowned Cyber Forensic experts are slated to deliver lectures during the course, enriching the learning experience.
