16 injured in Rajouri accident

Rajouri: At least 16 persons traveling in a cab sustained multiple injuries in an accident near Khandli bridge of Rajouri town.

Police said that the cab (JK02AE 1029) was moving on Rajouri-Kotranka-Budhal road and was on way to Rajouri from Budhal when the driver lost control over the wheel near Khandli bridge and the cab fell into a gorge.

   

Talking to Greater Kashmir, DTI Traffic Police, Ajaz Mirza said that 16 passengers traveling in the vehicle sustained injuries and all were shifted to Government Medical College and Associated Hospital, Rajouri.

The injured have been identified as Muhammad Sageer, 35, Rita Devi, 32, Vinay Sharma, 11, Radhika Sharma, 32, Pardeep Kumar, 35, Kapil Kumar, 37, Dushat Sharma, 11, Karan Sharma, 12, Arun Sharma, 8, Savitri Devi, 35, Devanshi Sharna, 4, Udhay Sharma, 8, Deepak Sharma, 35, Tahira Begum, 25, Sadia Begum, 16, and Jamsheed Aslam, 35.
