Mendhar: BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) J&K President RavinderRaina Thursday said that the party was committed to doing justice with Rajouri and Poonch.
Addressing a public gathering at Mendhar in Poonch district, Raina said that the people of Rajouri and Poonch had benefitted from the numerous public welfare decisions taken by Prime Minister NarendraModi-led government.
He said that the traditional regional parties had played with the rights and lives of people for 70 long years.
Raina said that the people-centric Modi government had now taken care of every neglected section in the remotest of regions.
He said that the Rajouri-Poonch belt had long been neglected in terms of development projects.
“Now, BJP is committed to doing justice with all those people of Rajouri and Poonch who were at loss for these decades in the past,” Raina said.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the rally, he vowed to provide justice to the Pahari population of J&K saying that BJP would extend all rights of the Gujjars and Bakerwals to the community.
“Gujjars and Bakerwals were kept deprived of several genuine rights like the Forest Rights Act but BJP provided these rights to these communities,” Raina said.
He blamed former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and former chief minister Sheikh Abdullah for the partition of J&K.
He said BJP was becoming the most favorite party for the people of the entire J&K including Kashmir, and the rallies of the party were going on at every place.
Raina said that time had come when BJP would form its government in J&K.
“We will achieve the target of 50 seats in J&K, and the next chief minister will be from BJP,” he said.
