The armies of India and Pakistan on Friday traded fire along the Line of Control (Loc) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said that the exchange of fire took place in Shahpur sector of Poonch.
There was no immediate report of any loss to life or property.
A BSF soldier was killed in sniper fire from across the border in Samba area of Jammu earlier this week.
