A tourist was killed and three others seriously injured Sunday when a mini bus they were traveling in was hit by a rolling boulder near Ramsu on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
Police said a tempo traveler bearing registration numberJK14C-0052 carrying 12 passengers was on its way from Kashmir to Jammu when theaccident happened.
A majority of the passengers in the vehicle are fromMaharashtra.
The injured tourists were removed to public health center atRamsu for treatment where one of them was declared as brought dead.
The deceased tourist has been identified Sunil VeshnupanthKathe, 43, son of Veshnupanth resident of Ashoke Nagar road, district NasikMumbai.
The three wounded tourists are Manisha Sunil Kathe, 39, wifeof deceased Sunil Veshnupanth Kathe, Vilas Anand Kumar, 43, son of Anand Kumar,Mayori Kumber, 17, daughter of Kalish Kumber, all residents Nasik.Police have registered a case and handed overthe body of the dead tourist to his companions after a medico-legal process wascompleted, SSP Ramban, Anita Sharma said.
