Srinagar, Dec 18: Body of a young woman, roughly aged 35 years, was found near Drungli river in J&K’s Poonch district on Saturday, officials said.
Quoting the officials, news agency GNS reported that some passersby spotted the body near stone crusher and informed police. Later a Police party from police station Poonch rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Mortuary room of District Hospital Poonch for identification and postmortem.
Confirming the recovery, a police official told GNS that inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated in the case.
