25 deaths, 1117 new Covid-19 cases in J&K

Srinagar, June 10: Jammu and Kashmir reported 25 fatalities attributed to Covid-19 while 1117 fresh positive cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

As per the details shared by the health department, 13 deaths were reported in Jammu division and 12 in Kashmir division taking the total tally of Covid deaths to 4143 – 2130 in Kashmir division and 2013 in Jammu division.

As per the official figures, 04 persons died in GMC Jammu, 01 in Govt. Hosp Gandhi Nagar Jmu, 01 in DH Poonch, 01 in DH Reasi, 01 in MH Satwari, 01 in SSH Jammu, 04 in SMVDNH Katra, 01 in Home/ Brought Dead, 03 in SMHS Sgr, 02 in SKIMS Soura, 02 in DH Pulwama, 01 in JLNM Hosp Sgr, 01 in SKIMS JVC Bemina & 02 in GMC Anantnag.

Apart from death, 1117 Covid-19 positive cases were reported out of 50508 persons tested for novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Out of the total positive cases, 332 were reported in Jammu division and 785 in Kashmir division, taking the total tally of infection cases reported in J&K so far to 304866.

Srinagar reported 194 cases, Baramulla 100, Budgam 121, Pulwama 77, Kupwara 81, Anantnag 74, Bandipora 44, Ganderbal 30, Kulgam 56, Shopian 8, Jammu 50, Udhampur 47, Rajouri 44, Doda 56, Kathua 16, Samba 11, Kishtwar 24, Poonch 22, Ramban 51 and Reasi 11.

However as per the official data, the number of active cases is coming down rapidly. On Thursday the number of active cases was 18581. The number of persons recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours was 2363 – 886 in Jammu division and 1477 in Kashmir division. The total number of Covid recoveries in J&K has reached 282142.

As per the media bulletin, no new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported, till now 18 confirmed cases have been reported in J&K.
