DHSK appeals people to use Govt-run Covid facilities for isolation

Srinagar, June 6: On the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather Sunday appealed people to utilise Covid facilities run by the government at different levels especially in rural areas for isolation.

A spokesperson of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Mir Mushtaq said Lieutenant Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha in public interest has stressed the Health department that they should provide the facilities of isolation to such people who do not have facilities of separate washrooms or separate rooms at their homes.

In this connection, the director appealed people that those who were in home isolation should come forward and take advantage of the Covid facilities.

He appealed the people to utilise the Covid facilities run by the government at different levels from panchayat to district level hospitals. “It is especially for those people who do not have isolation rooms or facilities at their own homes,” the director said.

“We have created facilities at panchayat and block level. Besides, the Covid care facilities are available in each district at various places. These facilities have all the arrangements which include food and medicine as well,” he said. The spokesman said that the director said DHSK would keep a close vigil of such patients for their signs and symptoms so that better care is taken of these patients.
