Al-Aqsa has deep religious significance for Muslims around the world. Actually it is the focal point everything happening in Palestine. Zionists ultimately want the Al-Aqsa to be reconstructed into third temple so that their messiah, their king, comes into existence.
Masjid Al-Aqsa means the farthest mosque. It is a very holy place for not only Palestinians but all Muslims. In Al-Israa, Sura 17, verse 1, Quran says;
Glory be to the One Who took His servant Muḥammad (PBUH) by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque (Al-Aqsa) whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs.Indeed, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Masjid Al-Aqsa was first built in A.D 637 but it has been destroyed, rebuilt, and renovated several times because it isn’t just a place to worship. For jews, it holds some other significance. So we all must know that the ongoing tumult in Palestine. It’s not just a conflict, as we understand in the current international world of politics.
According to Jewish tradition, the First Temple was built in 1000 BC by King Solomon after King David conquered Jerusalem and made it his capital. The Temple was destroyed in 586 BC by Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon, when he conquered Jerusalem.
And the Second Temple was built in 586 BC and is marked by the return of Jews to Jerusalem from their exile in Babylon in 538 BC. They were allowed to return under a mandate issued by Cyrus, King of Persia. By 515 BC the reinstated Jewish residents had completed building the Second Temple.
What holds more importance if the Islamic eschatology is well understood is the construction of the third temple. But what wealth does it hold for the Zionist that they want it to be constructed so badly that they can kill anyone coming in the way.
The process of building the third temple has begun a long ago and it has a certain shape that has been passed from one generation to another so that whenever it’s constructed, it has the exact architecture that it had when it was first built according to the Jewish tradition.
The construction of the temple doesn’t only involve to bring down The Dome of the Rock or just the Mosque but both the mosques and the whole area. The process of destroying the Al-Aqsa doesn’t mean that the Zionists can through a missile at it. They want to make it look like a “Natural Disaster” so that no finger is pointed at them. It is believed that to achieve this, Zionists have already begun digging under the mosque since 150 years as “archaeological excavations”. Besides carrying these “excavations” for exactly bringing down the Al-Aqsa mosque, Zionists are looking for Taboot Al Sakinah.
Now what is Taboot Al Sakinah and why does Israel need it?
Taboot Al Sakinah is mentioned in the Holy Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 248, which Yousuf Ali translates as:
“And (further) their Prophet said to them: “A sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith.”
Most importantly the box also contained the original version of the Holy book Tauraat, planks that were bestowed upon Hazrat Musa (A.S) at Koh-e-Sina, along with a special utensil that was used for bringing Man-o-Salva (foods from the heaven).
When Hazrat Dawood (A.S) had the custody of Taboot Al-Sakinah he wanted to build a temple to protect it along with other assets of Prophet (PBUH) but he couldn’t complete its construction during his lifetime, therefore, Hazrat Suleman (A.S) took it to himself and built the temple which thus was named as Haikal-e-Sulemani.
The temple was able to secure it until the people of ‘Babul’ or current day Babylonia attacked the temple and destroyed it. There wasn’t much proof regarding the whereabouts of Taboot Al- Sakinah as some people believed that it was taken to heavens while some believed that the Babylonians took it with themselves. These misconceptions were shut down when Israelis erected the Haikal-e-Sulemani again.
The temple was later destroyed for the second time by the Romans and a christian church was set up in its place. This development was followed by Hazrat Umer Farooq (R.A) visiting Palestine and praying a little further from the church where Masjid-e-Aqsa was then built (again).
But what significance does this Taboot hold for the jews? What powers it could give them?
It is believed that before some king from Babylonia (not much clarity on this) took the Taboot from Israelis, anyone who would fight them would ultimately lose because of the powers of Torah and the Taboot.
There are various theories about what exactly it does for the Jews but the most strong and much related to the prophecies of end times is the theory that this box is related to the advent of Dajjal.
The Taboot is believed to hold the powers that can show you who your actual king is because in one of the stories, Taboot is depicted showing Bani-Israel that Jalut wasn’t their king. Now Israeli people want this Taboot to find their king which according to the Muslim writings must be Dajjal.
Jews have the belief that once they find Taboot al-Saqinah, their king will walk out of the door of the third temple where they bury their dead so that the advent of their king breathes new life into them.
Wrapping up all of this, I have no dithering in saying that the end times are very near.
