Srinagar Mayor raises question on the issue of past ‘fraud’ appointments in rural development department

Srinagar: Srinagar Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu has raised questions on the alleged fraud appointments issue in Rural Development Department.

Mattu took to social media to express his views on the issue. Pertinent to mention that Mattu responded to the tweets of former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran on the issue.

Imran while expressing his views on the issue had taken to social media. In his tweet Imran had said that “a charge sheet was filed today in the Court against Deputy Mayor Parvez Qadri s/o Sirajdin Qadri R/o Alamdar Colony Rangpora that was produced by Crime Branch Kmr, over a shocking complaint of fraud appointments in Rural Development Department received as on 01/07/2013.”

Imran alleged that “the accused Deputy Mayor Parvez Qadri kept on smoking cigarettes while roaming in desperation inside the court premises awaiting the punishment for his unspeakable sins of fraud appointment orders of Rural development and health issued. The site was more scenic because he was accompanied by the sympathisers who are close aides of son of a NC leader & office bearer which exhibits a deep connection & firm will to save the skin of criminals. But Why? Maybe some understanding or a more dominant give-&-take case. Even anticipatory bails have been sought because _’Asli Nanihaal Janay Ki Tyari Jo Ho Rahi Hai’_ request @Junaid_Mattu sb to intervene as habitual #corruptcartoon is on prowl in @SMC_Srinagar so let’s join to say #NoToCorruption,” Imran had tweeted.

Srinagar Mayor while reacting to the issue said “Who was the Rural Development Minister at the time? What proximity did the charge-sheeted culprit enjoy with the Minister? How did the Minister continue his association with the culprit till date? This goes MILES beyond the culprit. It will open Pandora’s box,” Mattu said.
