Srinagar, Feb 18: Residents of Rose Lane area of Chanapora have expressed resentment against unscheduled power cuts in the locality.
The residents said that despite being a fully metered area, PDD resorts to unscheduled power cuts in the area. “Unscheduled power cuts in our area are worse than mockery in the name of power supply. Elaborating, Bashir said “I texted concerned SE but he didn’t respond. PDD has turned into an irresponsible department. Neither there is any helpline nor any officer is taking responsibility… Everybody is passing on the buck saying it is not up to me. Then who is running PDD. PDD officers have no right to pressure people to pay power bills when they are not able to maintain power supply as per schedule.
He urged senior officers to look into the matter and ensure power supply as per schedule.
