2 injured in Ramsu accident

Ramban: A truck heading to Punjab from Kashmir plunged into Bisleri Nallah at Ramsu on Thursday, resulting in critical injuries to its driver and his helper.

The condition of both is stated to be critical.

   

Police said a truck (PB06V 6007) loaded with apple boxes plunged into the embankments of Bisleri Nullah after it went out of the control of its driver at the Nachlana area of Ramsu on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.

Both the injured driver and his helper were rescued by local volunteers and rescue teams of the Police and the Army.

They shifted them to the nearby medical facility (MI Room) of the Army where they were provided medical aid and referred to Sub District Hospital Banihal.

Police identified the injured driver as Kuldeep Singh, son of Tarseem Singh of Taragarh Batala district Gurdaspur, Punjab, and his helper Lovely Singh, son of Jaspal Singh of Katli Passi Batala, Gurdaspur, Punjab.

An FIR No 138 of 2021 was registered into the case at Police Station Ramsu.
