Vijaypur(Samba): BJP leader and former legislator Devender Singh Rana on Wednesday said that they would leave no stone unturned to work for the welfare of the public while at the same time extending the base of BJP to every nook and corner of the region. “All regions, irrespective of religion or caste shall get a fair deal in development and jobs with no region having hegemony over the other as we are for equitable development of all regions and sub-regions,” Rana said while addressing a rally here.
J&K BJP general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul stated that BJP had ended an era of discrimination against the Jammu region.
“The party was focussing on developing the whole J&K with state of art projects without any favour or bias. The party is following the footsteps of stalwarts like Pandit Prem Nath Dogra, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and other heroes of this land of warriors including Brigadier Rajinder Singh who lived just to serve the nation and the society,” Koul said.
He was addressing a well attended rally at Vijaypur in Samba district where more than 200 activists from National Conference including BDC chairman, block president, district office bearers, councillors, Sarpanchs, Panchs joined BJP.
Joining of these political activists was facilitated by J&K BJP vice-president and former minister Surjit Singh Slathia.
Former J&K BJP president and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, former MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, J&K BJP vice-president Aseem Gupta, general secretary Dr Devender Manyal, former minister Chander Prakash Ganga, J&K executive member Devender Singh Rana, DDC chairman, district and Mandal presidents besides other were also present on the occasion.
Koul said that the BJP with its strong organisational principles had become a party of 17 Cr members and had earned the distinction of being the largest political party. “The party has given us leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has made all of us proud”.
Dr Nirmal Singh said that the paramount development that had taken place in Jammu region was due to the special emphasis of BJP to work on all the loopholes that led to the underdevelopment here. Manhas said, “The collaborative effort by all of us will lead to a new era of peace and progress which will benefit every resident of the region.” Dr Manyal said that BJP was working sincerely to ensure equal benefit to every section of society. Slathia in his address said that all the new entrants, who pledged support for the BJP, would work dedicatedly to strengthen the party. He said that all the new entrants would contribute positively in the development of the region.
