Srinagar: The Ibn Sina College of Nursing on Wednesday celebrated the annual day and welcomed the second batch of BSc Nursing students at its campus at Ompora in Budgam.
As per a press release, during the function, Director of Institution, Bashir Ahmed Bhat emphasised on the role of nursing personnel in the medical field. Bhat welcomed the students.
Dr Ibrahim Makaya, Medical Superintendent, Ibn Sina Hospital while addressing the students highlighted the way of learning and way of nursing of patients in the modern medical science. He said that nursing personnel are the backbone of a hospital.
Administrator Ibn Sina Group of Institution, Muhammad Ashraf Malik explained in detail the establishment of such reputed institutions by a commoner Abdul Rashid Bhat, who has been instrumental in leading the hospital from the forefront.
“His aim was to contribute some wellness to the society both in hospital and nursing college and Bhat sahib has emerged as a role model,” said Malik.
Senior students of the college presented cultural acts while the Principal and Superintendent of the College presented the details of facilities and courses available in the college. They also presented a vote of thanks.
