Jammu, Dec 10: Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone Anand Jain flagged off ‘Special Olympics’ athletes, participating in North zone sports event of ‘Special Olympics Bharat’ at Chandigarh from December 11 to 13, 2023, in an impressive function, from DPL Jammu Sunday afternoon.
The competition is organised by ‘Special Olympics Bharat’ Himachal Pradesh chapter and ‘Special Olympics’ Chandigarh chapter.
Chief Guest of the event IGP Jammu zone flagged off the contingent of special athletes with warm wishes to bring laurels to the Union Territory of J&K.
While interacting with the ‘Special Olympics’ athletes, the IGP encouraged them and advised them to participate in the events with enthusiasm and full vigour. He wished them a very happy and safe journey.
The specially-abled athletes are representing JK UT in three days at Chandigarh and they will participate in sports, dance, music, medication and health check-ups.
