Srinagar: As a part of public outreach programme, a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was facilitated by Police at Police Post Warpora.
According to a police spokesman, the meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other Covid protocols.
The meeting was chaired by SDPO Sopore Furkan Qadir-JKPS besides, SHO Police Station Sopore and other officers were also present. The meeting was attended by large number of respectable citizens including local Imams, religious leaders, Auqaf members, Sarpanchs and Panchs of nearby villages.
During meeting, the participants raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities including menace of drugs, social crimes and other several issues. The chairing officer resolved some of the issues pertaining to police on spot and assured them that their other genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority while as the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal.
The participants were also made aware about the exploitation of young boys for anti-national activities over social media and were advised to keep a check on online behaviour of kids/youth, the police spokesman added.
