Srinagar: In the ongoing Khyber Premier Division football league , Arco FC and AG’s Office XI won their respective matches played at Synthetic Turf TRC ground here on Wednesday.
In the first match of the day, Arco FC beat Sports Council Football Academy by 1-0 goals. Ishfaq Teli scored the only goal of the match for Arco FC. Kamran of Arco FC was declared man of the match.
The second match of the day was crucial for both competing sides Forest XI and AG’s Office XI. While Forest were fighting to avoid relegation , AG’s Office XI needed a big win to qualify for the knockout stage of the league.
AG’s Office XI succeeded in their effort as they thrashed Forest XI by 5-1 margin to book a place in the semi-finals. With this win they also made sure that Downtown Heroes FC finish at third place and miss qualification.
Shahnawaz scored a hat-trick for AG’s Office while Amanjot and Ifham scored one each. Naseer Ahmed scored a lone consolation goal for Forest XI. Shahnawaz was declared as player of the match for his brilliant play.
The tournament is organized by JKFA in collaboration with JKSC.
