Principal Secretary I&C visits IE Lassipora

Srinagar, June 6: Ranjan Prakash Thakur, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Department along with Nazim Khan, Director I&C, Haroon Malik, MD SIDCO and Shahid Kamli, president FCIK visited the Industrial Estate (IE) Lassipora.

According to a statement issued here, the President Lasipora Industrial Estate Nisar Ahmad arranged visit to various Industrial units in the estate includes Cold Stores, Polymer units and other units. Nisar discussed various issues regarding the IE with Thakur and a formal representation was also handed over to him for redressal.

   

“Nisar demanded that the unit holders who have invested huge in civil works, plant and machinery and are in production, further some Prospective unit holders who are under process of completing the unit. We demand their provisional registrations must be revalidated at DIC level so that they can get formal registration and extension of time for Provisional registration. Further, Unit holders that have started new activities may be granted permission at their existing units because their existing activities are not viable. A special order should be issued for accepting those new activities,” the statement reads. “Further, some unit holders have acquired land from encroachers due to efforts made by them, we demand that the land may be transferred to those unit holders who have made such efforts. In addition, we demand that no new registration for the saturated Card Board Boxes at IGC Lassipora may be provided as there are enough units.”

Nisar said that the poultry line of activity should be allowed to change the line of activity. The CETP Power liabilities should be cleared by SIDCO till that maintenance of CETP is handed over to unit holders.

“IGC Lassipora is without dumping site and dumping site may be allotted on immediate basis. Nisar demanded that one more chance for availing amnesty in power dues may be provided as due to Pandemic we could not avail the amnesty. Further, walling of entire Industrial Estate should be done. Nisar thanked the Pr. Secretary for issuing the orders for maintenance of road to the concern department on immediate basis,” the statement reads.
